Expanding justice for domestic violence victims.
Report Release  ·  November 2023

30 years of federal law.
On the line.

On Nov. 7, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear United States v. Rahimi — a case that could reshape how protective orders work. Our latest report lays out what's at stake, and what we've seen inside Montgomery County courtrooms.

Few cases this year will matter more to domestic-violence survivors than the one before the Supreme Court next week. If Rahimi goes the wrong way, decades of federal protection could be undone overnight.

In response, we are releasing our latest report — a clear-eyed look at how Montgomery County actually handles these cases, and where the system can do better.
